Watchman Visit is a special event intending to create an atmosphere of friendship, brotherhood and correspondence between youth in schools and orphans of the Niboye Peace Village. It was initiated by Peace and Love Proclaimers in 2009 with the purpose of advocating and raising funds for the youth in that village while also building relationships between the youths.
The 2009 Watchman Visit had had 150 students and youth from various areas in Kigali participating, and the special guest for the event was Cassandra Freeman, a successful actress who has starred in Hollywood movies as well as Rwanda centric documentaries. Since 2009, the event has grown to include more students and more support for the youth. The day includes music, speeches, and sharing.
To date, PLP and their partners have donated 12,000,000+ RWF of goods to the youth of Niboye, including, books, school supplies, toiletries, clothes, shoes, and food while also building and maintaining close relationships between the groups.
